Vacuum Furnace

   Vacuum Furnace

The vacuum furnace achieves vacuum by using a vacuum system to exhaust the air in the furnace chamber. Vacuum furnaces have a wide range of applications in industrial production, such as vacuum quenching, vacuum brazing and vacuum sintering.

  •     Vacuum quenching (tempering, annealing) is a treatment method that achieves expected performance by heating and cooling the materials or parts in the vacuum according to process procedures.
  •     Vacuum brazing refers to a welding technology, in which a group of welded components are heated to a temperature above the melting point of the filler metal, but below the one of the base metal. And the weld is formed by the wetting and flow of the filler metal to the base metal under vacuum (the brazing temperature varies depending on the material).
  •     Vacuum sintering is a method of heating metal-powder products under vacuum, allowing adjacent metal powder grains to be sintered into parts through adhesion and diffusion.

According to different technologies, vacuum furnaces are divided into different types, such as vacuum brazing furnaces, vacuum quenching furnaces, vacuum sintering furnaces, vacuum carburizing furnaces, etc. For example, vacuum sintering furnaces are mainly used for the sintering process of semiconductor components. They can be used for vacuum sintering, gas protection sintering, and conventional sintering. They are a novel process equipment in the semiconductor equipment series. They have novel design concepts, convenient operation, compact structure, and can complete multiple process flows on a single device.

The biggest advantage of a vacuum furnace is that it completely eliminates oxidation and decarburization on the surface of the work during the heating process, resulting in a clean surface without any deterioration layer. Vacuum furnace generally used a vacuum pump to achieve vacuum, and a vacuum pump filter is also essential. The application environment of vacuum furnaces requires filters to have good high-temperature resistance.

LVGE, as a member of the vacuum technology field for more than ten years, glad to see that vacuum technology can be applied more and more widely.
